Meet Our South Atlantic Regional Competitors...
Joyce Chow
Intermediate Ladies (Qualifying)
Joyce attends Poquoson High Shool and was inspired to skate after watching the 2002 Winter Olympics. Her favorite aspect of skating is the sensation of flying in the air during jumps. She hopes to pass all of her freestyle tests and to land all of her triple jumps before graduating from high school. She also hopes to qualify for a national competition at regionals before going to college.

Subway Commonwealth Games of Virginia: 1st place
Valentine Open: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
Falling Leaves: 1st place
May Day Open: 3rd place
Virginia Commonwealth Games: 3rd
Fall Classic: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
University of Delaware Championships: 2nd

Hailey Rose Downey
Preliminary Girls (Non-Qualifying)
Hailey Rose attends Independence Middle School and began skating at the age of 6. She loves skating because it's fun, challenging and she can suit her program to her personality and style. And of course, she loves her coaches!! Her goals are to pass her novice moves in November and move up to qualifying after this year. Besides being a figure skater, Hailey Rose is also a ballet dancer and plays violin in her school orchestra.

2011 State Games: 3rd Pre-preliminary FS
2010 Regionals : 4th place No-Test FS

Jennifer was five years old when she began skating and is currently a student at Kemps Landing Magnet School. She loves doing "tricks" on the ice. Jennifer hopes to finish her senior moves in the 8th grade, get all of her doubles (except double axel) by the middle of next summer.

Moves in the Field: she has passed all of her moves through Junior
